Motor Oil Prices vs. Gasoline Prices?

Is there a reason why when I buy motor oil at the store the price doesn't seem to change while the gasoline price seems to change on a daily basis.Motor Oil Prices vs. Gasoline Prices?
motor oil is less refined than gasoline. the more refining, the higher the costMotor Oil Prices vs. Gasoline Prices?
A lower grade of oil is used for motor oil.





Plus there are many additives as well.





So, there isn't a 1:1 relation between motor oil and gasoline.
I think motor oil is like processed crude oil. But maybe you might have been buying synthetic oil.
