Oil prices look higher to me also. So do the energy stocks. I'm not sure what will happen at the pump. Are Oil Prices Headed Up?
Looking at the world scene, we see that most of the scientists are claiming that we're reaching the end of the supply. Not the peak, but the end. We're running out. We may be able to substitute renewables for fuel, but all the other things oil is used for will also suffer. So with the realization of this, the market can only increase. I wonder what the price of the very last barrel will be?
Oil prices will keep going up until consumptions lowers. Don't confuse oil prices with gas prices though, they are separate in many ways.
The dynamics of the free market are at work. If supplies are low, prices go up as demands go up.
The major interference is government. Lots of taxes added on don't help anyone. The federal government has lots of formula mandates that drive the prices up also.
Hi!
Of course..but not for the reasons you might think. Consumption is higher than expected..and many of the refineries are doing pre-summer (high-demand) maintenance chores..and production is down.
Simple. Production is down..demand is up..and so prices are headed up as well. Many commodities follow the same predictable cycle...supply and demand.
its a crap shoot
