Hello: Well you bring up the real reason we invaded Iraq.Not for WMD'S or Iraqi freedom but to control the production and export of of Iraqi oil. Iraq sits on 25% of the worlds oil that's huge. Suddam Hussain was no team player with other oil rich countries and Texas. He was going to flood the world with Iraqi oil creating a world wide glut. When is the last time you heard that word GLUT it does'nt happen anymore. A supply way greater then the demand so the prices fall big time. My guess less than a buck at the gas pumps. He had to be stopped. The oil companies stood to lose ten's of billions. Instead they got control of Iraqi oil and made ten's of billions of dollars and continue today. The last I heard the main oil pipeline in Iraq is guarded with one soldier aproximently every two miles. It's only allowed to opperate one to three weeks before it's sabotaged on a regular bacis.Most of the saboteur's are Saudie insurgents Hmmmmm that figures. That my friend is control of the production and export of Iraqi oil. Who is responsible the former govener of Texas GWB. That's just the way it is for now. I hope to see change in January 09 with a new administration in the white house.They've taken enough money from the pockets of the every day commuter like me and you.

I don't think production levels are even as high as they were under Saddam, but even if they were don't expect the common people to see the benefits!
Bush owns stock in Exxon and Halliburton, why should they lower the price when they're making so much money? Iraqi Oil is headed to France, Japan, Italy... The USA get Saudi Oil.
Because you have an oilman in office. OPEC and the oil companies are trying to get all they can get before there oil buddy Bush gets out of office.
It's a big scam In Canada we have our own oil and yet our gas is nearly $5 a gallon now Oil companies and traders on the stock exchange are bumping prices so greedy people can get rich

oil companies(also include beneficiaries) want to earn as much profit as possible before oil gets replaced by other fuels.
