If OPEC sells oil for 136 a barrel but buys U.S. grain at $7 a bushel, why don't we raise our price of grain?

overly simple? maybe. i'm sure it's not that simple but i am not a expert on world markets and it sounded like a good idea.If OPEC sells oil for 136 a barrel but buys U.S. grain at $7 a bushel, why don't we raise our price of grain?
That will probably happen this year. With all the flooding this month alot of corn crops have been destroyed-the price will do a big jump.If OPEC sells oil for 136 a barrel but buys U.S. grain at $7 a bushel, why don't we raise our price of grain?
Most opec nations do not import large amounts of US grain and corn. You will be ';punishing'; or ';getting revenge'; on African, Far East, European and Latin American countries that do not export much oil to the USA.
Both are sold on the open market to the highest bidder. I guess there is a greater demand for oil then for grain.
