Raising taxes on oil companies means that the oil companies are going to raise the price of gasoline to compensate for the tax loses, meaning the consumer is going to have to pay more.





Corporations are in the habit of making profits for their shareholders, if they don't make profits, they don't exist for very long.
Democrats also think that with enough subsidies for alternative energy, the laws of physics can be overcome and we will all drive affordable electric and hydrogen cars.


It's not really thinking ,of course. It's more like :there isn't quite enough govt. employees, lawyers and welfare cases to elect our candidates - we must also appeal to the really ignorant and the envious (angry that someone is making a profit).


Taking money from those who produce needed products, and having politicians distribute those resources - thats the plan.
President Jimmy Carter already did win fall tax profits and it failed leaving the consumers to pay more at the pump and for home heating oil.





Again, Senator Obama is a Liberal Democrat who is pushing failed Old Liberal Policy's.

I don't think you have the facts right about lowering gas prices because that's out of the government's influence. I don't know about the other point, politician's election promises last less time than a Hollywood marriage.
To be honest, I worry that people see 'diversity' and believe everything they here about him, and their mind makes it sound great for them. But I'm not sure. Just seems like that with some people I have come into contact with. And it is hard to have them really look at each man with open eyes.
Wrong. Seen the profit margins? Plenty of space to halt overcharges, then try to get back the money they've stolen. You'd have to tax the flying s--- out of them to get their profit margins down to reasonable 10%.
No you're right, lets lower their taxes then they can continue to make billions upon billions of dollars while working Americans struggle to survive. Then we can help those same Americans out by sending their jobs to Mexico!!
I certainly might have missed it but when did he say that he will lower gas prices? That would be a hard promise for a president to keep!
