first he will bring jobs back to america since rep. think ';as long as im making a few extra million the economy must be good right'; and dont care about the rest of us





then he will increase fuel economy





then he will increase spending on alt fuels





then he will go into talks with middle eastern countries and hopefully come to an agreement and get the price dropped instead of fighting with them and putting embargos on them like the supposed';republican businessmen';do





he will fix it i promise

Oil prices are controlled by congess. not the President





Obama wants to put additional taxes on the oil companies (guess who pays for that)





Obama wants the oil companies to find alernative fuels, rather than drill the oil on US soil or build more efficient refineries.





Obama wants to use alternative fuels, even though they have found to be costly and efficient, but does not want nuclear which is cheaper than most fuels





Obama doesn't know how he will save us from high oil prices or save us from anything.





All he keeps saying is that he will change things and we have to have hope.


But what are his changes, I hope somebody knows





The greatest enemy facing our country today is not terrorism nor is it coming from foreign soil it鈥檚 living among us in the form Liberalism
Congress could freeze the price, could remove the Fed gas tax or reduce it (as McCain suggested for the summer months). Congress has the power to do it but does not. Bush does not have the power, it would have to be in the form of a law and the President does not make law. The Dem Congress could have done this but has not. Anyone who thinks Obama is going to fix all of these things is just being silly or uninformed. Why did not the Dem Congress reduce the Fed tax on a gallon of gas? Why does the Dem Congress still allow credit card companies to charge so much interest on people's debt? Why has the Dem Congress not passed legislation to curb the foreclosure rate? Because they are just as bad as everyone else and any political cultists who believes that they, or Obama is not the same is just dumb.
Don't worry about how. Right now Bush is in charge it is his responsibility. When Obama gets in office there will be a shift in energy. Republicans can not understand these kinds of things cause they have to learn how to take responsibilty of their own lives to see that when one does that things happen.
Do not take God's name in vain.











Ask the speculators why the price of oil is so high, isn't there a congressional investigation?





But this spike has to do with the 5.5% UNEMPLOYMENT rate revealed today, beautiful...as well as the weak dollar. So ask WHY did so many jobs move overseas in these past 8 years????
We gotta save ourselves. Clearly Washington can do nothing for us. You don't have to drive one of those crappy prius's to save oil. Recycle plastic. Use less electricity. Sneak onto the alsakan wildlife reserve and tap yourself a well...Tons of things you can do....

we should be DEMANDING our congress and senate announce that we will soon be drilling our own oil and opening new refineries. 20 minutes after that announcement the speculators will panic and the price will plumit.
