Why do people always want to blame the US President for the price of oil worldwide ??





Do you really think the US president, controls how much demand there is for oil in China, India, Eurpoe, Africa or South America ?





Do you really think the US President controls how much countries like Nigeria, Venezuela, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Netherlands, Canada and Mexico sell thier exported oil for ?





Gasoline prices went up 78% in the last three years of the Clinton administration.





Gasoline prices went up 12% during the first 6 years of the Bush administration.





Gasoline prices went up 64% in the first 15 months of the new Democratic Controlled Congress.





But I find it amazing that people somehow assume, that America controls what the rest of the world pays for oil.





Or do they believe, that Europe, somehow isn't paying 109 dollars a gallon for oil, just like the US is ?
I must have missed that huge oil strike in Yugoslavia.


Don't you ever get tired of blaming Bill for everything that George is involved in?

About my only comment is that if there is ONE PLACE ON EARTH President Bush is popular, it is in Albania and Macedonia, where Clinton helped the ethnic Muslims in neighboring regions (Kosovo). There is even a President Clinton Avenue in Albania (as well as other streets, parks, etc named after him).
I don't see how Clinton and Yugoslavia have anything to do with current oil prices. Even if it is a factor, there is more to it than just what is happening in the Middle East, with Bush and whatever other things people want to blame it on. The price of oil was bound to get raised, it's what happens to the price of anything.
George Bush is to blame.
